Job Description

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce costs. This includes planning and coordinating logistics operations such as transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. The manager will monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and manage and coordinate supply chain activities from procurement to delivery. The role requires close collaboration with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure seamless coordination and communication, while also negotiating and managing contracts with logistics service providers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Implement inventory management processes to ensure adequate stock levels while minimising excess inventory.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Optimise inventory storage and distribution processes to maximise efficiency.
  • Supervise and lead the logistics team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Foster team collaboration and create an efficient working environment, providing guidance and support to enhance team members’ skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international logistics regulations and standards, mitigating risks in logistics operations through effective planning and execution.
  • Implement measures to improve safety and reliability in logistics activities.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction within logistics functions, implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operations, and drive continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: college and above
  • Working Experience: 3+ years of working experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics processes and supply chain management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, warehouse management systems)
  • Knowledge of logistics regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Chinese speaker is a must
